New wave of virus infected emails to target PC’s
Posted on February 2nd 2012 by PixelPulse MediaIt has been well documented today that a new threat of cyber attack is threatening PC's through virus infected emails. The email automatically downloads malicious software from elsewhere as soon as the users clicks to open it.
The emails themselves are not virus infected, this not triggering any virus protection software which are out there to protect you from attacks such as this one. Security experts have labeled the development as 'particularly dangerous' as it can effect users who would never open an unknown email or attachment. This current wave of emails will be labeled 'Banking Security Update' and to stay free of the virus, security experts are advising users to set their email software security settings to maximum and to update all web browsers to their latest versions to ensure maximum protection.
